About Me
My name is Amanda Gray, and this is my fourteenth year of teaching. I graduated from The University of Georgia in May of 2000 and started teaching that fall. I'm new to Lanier and I'm excited to be here. I believe in the power of literature to change our world, and I love sharing that power with my students.
Some things about me...
Some things about me...
- I once graded papers through a tornado.
- My favorite television shows are Modern Family and Criminal Minds.
- Three of my favorite things are laughing, talking about books, and watching movies.
- I actually long for rainy days.
- Mayonnaise is icky…Everything about it is disgusting!
- I believe in kindred spirits; Anne of Green Gables taught me that they do exist.
- I love college football. I'm a Georgia Bulldogs fan, but my husband cheers for Georgia Tech. We are a house divided. (I think he knows Georgia is better.)
- My favorite novel is The Great Gatsby, but I think I learn the most from Lord of the Flies every time I re-read it.
- I think I would be an FBI profiler in another life, thus my affinity for Criminal MInds.
- I have a 7 month old named Celia Josephine, and I love hearing her giggle.
